The Lightning is an energetic 4 piece band from the British Midlands whose members have a real love of life and the music they play. Influenced by the great rock classics of their youth, their love of this music continues and is reflected in their performances, playing music from a wide variety of musical genres from the last 50 years.

The Lightning play an extensive range of favourite rock and power pop songs, both classic and modern, for their popular gigs, but the talent of this foursome doesn't stop at playing covers; they also have an increasing portfolio of original songs which have been enthusiastically received.

The Lightning also has a more serious side, helping many charitable causes. They have gigged in Germany for a number of years raising money for Multiple Sclerosis causes, and here in the UK have played fund-raising gigs for the MS Society and many other good causes close to the bands member's hearts, like NABD, The Jan Foundation, and Help for Heroes.
